Same test equipment
DUT shift to
DxPatrol
New down converter
selectable ham band IF out
28 144 432 1296
25 MHz ref out
for Modified LNB
Result : Faulty
This unit come back
this morning 22/10/20/19
from repair
at DXPatrol HQ in Portugal,
and is still in bad shape
as it was 10 days ago
on depature, Faulty
This brand new equipment
only 1 month old
has never been full spec.
When received
it was not working on IF 432
and was good on IF 144
for only 3 days.
Debug:
using both converters
25 MHZ supplied to LNB
by old converter,
see picture #3
IF out 144 is back to life
but on a new Frequency
CW beacon on 144.550
It is a nice improuvement,
but as you did not annonce it
I was very near
to declare 144 If still faulty...
The 144 IF out level is fine.
Badly the original problem stay
432 IF still not working
even after searching from
430 to 440
This mean LO does not work
when 432 IF is selected.
It is very frustrating because
I was expecting repair
to run IF 432,
in order to have 144 free
for classic 2m trafic
without having to change
deeply Icom 9700
configuration 3 times a day.
2 oscillators are out of order
25 MHz and 423 IF
( 28 and 1296 IF have not
been tested yet)
This in not understandable.
What is your plan
to solve the problem ?
